10 Garfield Road, Battersea, London

At the time of the 1901 census, Joseph Howcutt, a bricklayer born at Brixworth, was living in four rooms of this house along with his wife Elizabeth and their youngest surviving daughters Florence and Ethel. The other three rooms were occupied by another couple. Because of the probable layout of the house, it is likely that the rooms occupied by the Howcutt family were on the upper levels.
